Carless Sundays: an idea whose time has come: to fight global warming and climate change

Carless Sundays: an idea whose time has come: to fight global warming and climate change. Italy made an attempt at it, but just 150 cities and towns. We need to ask people in all countries to stop driving their cars and trucks and buses all day on Sundays, beginning ASAP, in order:

1. to get used to a world without cars and internal combustion engines that burn fossil fuel

2. to wake people up about the real dangers of climate change

3. to create a global conciouness of what we are doing to this planet with our gas-guzzling cars and trucks and taxis and buses.

SO: on Sunday, where you live, do not use a car on Sunday, all day. Do not take a taxi cab. Do not use buses. Do not drive a truck or ride in a truck. No cars, no taxis, no trucks, no buses.

Get used to it. Just one day a week. So you have to walk on Sundays. Our ancestors walked 24/7/365 in the old days. We need to get used to this again, at least one day a week.

I have asked Al Gore to bless this project. Comments weclome
