One of the hardest things to discuss about the planetary crisis is how much greater its urgency is than any of the social issues we're used to working on. Failing on most issues for a decade is a setback; failing on climate for a decade is civilization-redefining catastrophe.

      That’s why I wish Obama had used his political capital when first elected on Climate Change and not healthcare. As important as healthcare is, it won’t matter at all if the earth is not habitable!

      Even smart, unbrainwashed people are reluctant to wrap their heads around climate change. Too big, too unimaginable, too unreal. Too scary.

      So what’s missing? What’s necessary to make the issue less unimaginable, scary, and unreal - and more solvable & actionable?
