San Francisco literary agent Ted Weinstein @twliterary tweeted the other day, re Amitav Ghosh's new essay book titled ''THE GREAT DERANGEMENT'' that takes a negative view of sci-fi, cli-fi, eco-fiction and speculative fiction genres that do not compare, in his VIP estimation, to the anointed ''serious mainstream literary fiction'' that Ghosh claims as his bailiwick:
''Hasn't Amitav Ghosh read Margaret Atwood, TC Boyle, Paolo Bacigalupi, others writing Cli-Fi ?''
